Tread Dara

Tread Dara (Catharanthus roseus G. Don L.).


Tread Dara, a plant belonging to the family Apocynaceae is a plant species with different chemical content. According to Ir. Winarto, herbalist of the Gardens Medicine Karyasari, there are more than 70 kinds of alkaloids in all parts of the plant tread virgin. Even at the crops there any tread virgin anticancer alkaloids, vinblastine and that is the active component leurocristine (vincristine). Only, described by Endah Lasmadiwati, herbalist from Sringanis Garden, Bogor, tread virgin slightly toxic. Hence, the use for potions should be limited. "The dose is enough interest five or five leaves," said Endah. All parts of plant virgin tread can be used to make potions. Types of flowers used are white flowers because it is colder or yin.

According to Ir. Winarto and Endah Lasmadiwati, Dara Tread the red flowering rarely utilized. however, its red flowers used to stop bleeding, which is also efficacious to overcome some of the diseases.
