Curcuma domestica

Plants turmeric or Curcuma domestica Val is a plant belonging to Zingiberaceae families, where the growth primarily in Java.

As medicine, turmeric is most important is the root of living which has a distinctive odor and taste slightly bitter.

Microscopic Turmeric:
1). Circular or ellipsoid, diameter approximately 5 cm in length, about 2 cm to 6 cm, width is about 1-3 cm.
2). The crimped edges, light brown exterior and the interior is colored reddish brown.
The content of substances on Turmeric:
a). kukumin yellow substance
b). Essential Oil
c). Hydrates charcoal, resins, gums and starches.

Efficacy Turmeric, with doses between 8 grams to 12 grams, very well used for diarrhea, karminativa, kolagoga and skabisida.
