Phaleria macrocarpa

Phaleria macrocarpa is known as one of medicinal plants in Indonesia who came from Papua / Irian Jaya. Although originally from Papua but this plant has long been known and cultivated in Indonesia such as the Kraton Yogyakarta and Solo. In Central Java and Yogyakarta, the plant is dubbed makuto dewo, makuto rojo, or makuto queen. Banten people call it the king of drugs, because of its known to cure various diseases. Meanwhile, people from ethnic Chinese called it pau, which means the drug heirlooms.

Crown god is a plant species that grow and grow trees throughout the year, this plant can reach a height of 3-4m. Gummy stem consists of a greenish brown skin and white sticks.

Mahkota Dewa tree widely cultivated as ornamental plants / plant fence. Small tree with a height of approximately 3 meters, has an interesting fruit because of the color red, pressed from the main trunk to the branches.

1. Leaves: contain adequate antihistamines, alkaloids, saponins & polyphenols (lignans)
2. Fruit Leather: contain adequate alkaloids, saponins & flavonoids.
3. Fruit: alkanoid, tannins, flavonoids, phenols, saponins, lignans, essential oils & plant sterols.
