Several studies have shown that the hoof contains glochidone, betulinic acid, alpha-and beta-amyrin acetate, and isoquercitrin. In these plants there are also antinociceptive, which is useful to overcome excessive pain. Antinociceptive will act as hidroalkoholik, which can reduce pain. With such content, hooves are often used to relieve joint pain or sore muscles. In addition, this plant is also used as a reliever toothache and swollen gums.
