Agribusiness mushrooms have a bright future to be developed into agro-scale agro-industries because it does not use land that is not too broad, the raw material for mushroom cultivation in the form of waste such as sawdust, rice bran, wood chips, the time from seed planting to harvest time is short, the selling price of mushrooms high, and aspects of high nutritional value for health and treatment. In addition to safe, non cholesterol, and efficacious as a medicine and a poison antidote mucus resulting from ear mushrooms.
Ear Mushroom Cultivation

Mushroom cultivation include the manufacture of seed-stage process and the process of mushroom production. Mushroom cultivation can be carried in the trunks of wood with a specific treatment for growing well. Development of mushroom cultivation technique using sawn wood dust or powder. This method is advantageous for farmers to add nutrients into the planting medium so that growth of the fungus to be optimal
After selecting fungi that will be cultivated, cultivation step begins with the manufacture of mushroom seeds in the planting medium. The next phase is the maintenance of mushrooms during the process of cultivation, mushroom harvesting, post harvest handling and marketing. For maximum results, each stage must be done well, including the preparation of the planting medium. For the planting medium can be used rods or wood dust.

However, beyond these two benefits, galangal it also has a role in extending the shelf life or preserve food for microbial decomposition activity. In short, galangal can act as a substitute for formalin functions are now being warmly discussed.

We know there are two types of ginger plants, ie varieties with tubers rhizomes (roots), white and red varieties berimpang tuber that is larger. Galangal berimpang white bulb is generally used as a flavoring dishes, while red galangal root berimpang widely used as a drug. Galangal rhizome tuber than coarse grained also has a distinctive aroma.

Chemical compounds contained in ginger, among others, contain essential oils, oil fly, eugenol, sesquiterpenes, pinen, methyl cinnamate, kaemferida, shipyard, galangol, and yellow crystals. Essential oils that contain, among others galangol, galangin, alpinen, camphor, and methyl-cinnamate. Some galangal usefulness as a medicinal plant from treating rheumatism, spleen pain, arouse appetite, bronchitis, morbili, phlegm, anti-bacterial, cleanse the blood, increase appetite, make expenditures from the wind in the body, liquefy phlegm, scent and even stimulate muscle can generate sex drive.

Even if knead with vinegar and applied as scrubs, galangal able to get rid of skin spots and moles.

Antimicrobial
The role of galangal as a food preservative is not apart from the ability of galangal which have antimicrobial activity. Antimicrobial is a biological or chemical compound that can interfere with growth and microbial activity, especially microbial destruction and decomposition of food. Antimicrobial substances may be bactericidal (kills bacteria), static bacteria (inhibits the growth of bacteria), fungicidal (kills fungi), static function (inhibits the growth of mold), or germisidal (inhibit the germination of bacterial spores).

The results showed that most of the components in the spice is as antimicrobial, so it can preserve food. The components of spices have antimicrobial activity especially is the essential oil.

A study conducted by a team of researchers at the Department of Food Technology and Nutrition, IPB Winiati Pudji led by Rahayu for example has proved that young red galangal has a high antimicrobial activity, ie with an average inhibition of 38.3 percent. Galangal is able to inhibit the growth of microbial pathogens and destroyer of food, especially against Bacillus cereus. Research conducted on mackerel proved to prolong shelf life mackerel at 40 ° C from 5 days to 7 days using galangal powder 2.5 percent combined with 5 percent salt.

This research has managed to find a natural preservative to make the food stays fresh and durable. Utilization of galangal is expected to extend the shelf life of food and beverages without compromising quality and more importantly not bad for health. This natural preservative clearly less expensive and easy to get around us.

This proves that nature has provided a cheap and safe solution for health. Formalin is the past that we must immediately leave the way as a food preservative. There are many safe and natural ways to manage food and beverage so durable and long lasting without override security aspects for human health.

the tubers of plants that can live in the highlands and lowlands.

The trunk consists of the composition of the leaf midrib. The leaves are oval in which the bottom consists of leaf-midrib midrib course is complete with the top strand of the leaf. The flowers appear at the end of the plant.
